Today we are pleased to be releasing  a new version of our Windows BMR Suite 8.7 to production. The suite consists of ABMR, CBMR, NBMR and TBMR.

Each Windows 8.7 BMR product is immediately available as a separate download from the Cristie FTP site.

Common to all BMR products

• Installation of BMR will be aborted if another Cristie product is already installed.
• HP SmartArray P816i and 535FLR Ethernet drivers added for WinPE10 use.
• HP SmartArray B140i drivers added for both WinPE5 and WinPE10 use.
• Network sharing is now automatically enabled for recoveries made to Oracle Cloud platform (OCI).
• Recoveries failed with Windows 2012 containing a recovery partition resident on a GPT/Dynamic disk. This is now fixed.
• The DHW feature in the BMR WinPE DR environments was not using a specified mapped path for driver search. This is now fixed.
• The Date and Time dialogue available in the BMR WinPE 10 DR environment did not work. This is now fixed.
• In a multi-path restore, the duplicate disk detection algorithm was not functioning correctly. This is now fixed.

ABMR

• Now supports Dell EMC Avamar clients in the range version 7.2 to 19.1.1 inclusive.
• The SystemState was not recovered correctly if it was split across more than one drive. This is now fixed.
• Recovery progress in the WinPE DR environment showed “server busy” even though the recovery had finished. This is now fixed.
• The Activity Report on an Avamar 19.1 Server contained an error created when recovering an ABMR ‘config’ relating to ‘X:\Program Files\avs\var’. This is now fixed.

CBMR

• Now supports IBM Spectrum Protect clients in the range version 7.1.1 to 8.1.8.0 inclusive. Version 8.1.8.0 of the client is now included in both the WinPE5 and WinPE10 DR environments. Server versions supported are 7.1.1 to 8.1.8.0.
• Under certain circumstances CBMR could generate a BMS005 error. This is now fixed.

NBMR

• Now supports Dell EMC NetWorker client/server version up to 19.1.1.0/19.1.1 respectively..
• An attempt to restore a backup made on or earlier than the 24th October 2018 from a server version 18.1 would fail. This is now fixed.

TBMR

• Now supports IBM Spectrum Protect clients in the range version 7.1.1 to 8.1.8.0 inclusive. Version 8.1.8.0 of the client is now included in both the WinPE5 and WinPE10 DR environments. Server versions supported are 7.1.1 to 8.1.8.0.
• The text of the LVSA/VSS warning message displayed during installation has been reworded to advise Users to enable VSS for all their data drives. Note that the Spectrum Protect backup client enables VSS for System State and System Services by default.
• The run of TBMRCfg failed if file path was too long. This is now fixed.

Note: These BMR products are compatible with the Cristie VA release 2.9.
